Origin and Meaning of the Ludi Brand – Lugan Returned Youth, Illuminating the Future
Ludi brand Chinese patent medicine mixtures are recognized as famous brand products in Jiangxi Province. The Ludi trademark is a famous trademark in Jiangxi and is considered a traditional brand from the province.
October 6, 1976: Professor Lu Jinfang from the Department of Pharmacy at Shanghai First Medical College, along with three students, arrived in Yongfeng to open a school. They chose the Lugan Returned Youth Comprehensive Field as the designated site for the school. Four members of the returned youth strain group (Wang Quobo, Chen Lind, Huang Lijun, and Zhang Zhicheng) participated in the studies and used local herbal medicine resources to produce "Houttuynia Cordata Injection," honeysuckle injection, and "Isatis Indigotica Granules," all of which were supplied to the Lugan Commune Health Center.
January 4, 1977: The Ji'an Regional Health Bureau approved the first product from the Lugan Commune Returned Youth Comprehensive Field Pharmaceutical Factory, "Houttuynia Cordata Injection," for commercial production. This date marks the establishment of Yongfeng Pharmaceutical Factory No. 2 (the predecessor of Chengzhi Yongfeng Pharmaceutical).
May 1, 1980: Construction began on a new pharmaceutical factory in Niejiaping by the Returned Youth Pharmaceutical Factory.May 1, 1981: The last batch of personnel from the Returned Youth Pharmaceutical Factory left Lugan. By this time, all 34 staff members of the Lugan Returned Youth Comprehensive Field had moved to the new location. Following a decision by the County Committee, the pharmaceutical factory was administratively placed under the management of the County Returned Youth Office, with business operations overseen by the County Economic Commission. The factory was named Yongfeng County Second Pharmaceutical Factory (known externally as Jiangxi Yongfeng Pharmaceutical Factory Injection Workshop).
May 1985: Jiangxi Yongfeng Pharmaceutical Factory Injection Workshop, previously known as Yongfeng County Second Pharmaceutical Factory, was approved by the Provincial Health Department’s Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau to be restructured as "Jiangxi Yongfeng Pharmaceutical Factory No. 2."
1989: The pharmaceutical factory purchased properties in Shanghai and Beijing to set up warehouses for product storage. A delivery car was used for distribution in the Beijing market, where the factory achieved over 10 million yuan in sales. By 1989, the factory's output value, sales, and profits ranked first among pharmaceutical enterprises in the Ji'an region and sixth in the province.
1990: The "Shenbao" product was awarded the title "Ministry-Level Excellent Product" by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and "Qutanling" (Compound Fresh Bamboo Sap) won a provincial excellence award.
September 17, 1991: A press conference was held in the Great Hall of the People for the launch of the new drug "Huaji Oral Liquid" by Pharmaceutical Factory No. 2. Lin Jiamei, Vice President of the China Family Planning Association and wife of former President Li Xiannian, attended and spoke at the event.
November 6, 1993: Pharmaceutical Factory No. 2 entered a joint venture with Hong Kong Junhui International Co., Ltd., and was officially renamed "Jiangxi Ludi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd."
1999: Ludi Pharmaceutical collaborated with Tsinghua Tongfang to establish Jiangxi Tongfang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
June 2001: The company underwent asset restructuring with Chengzhi Co., Ltd., and was renamed Jiangxi Chengzhi Yongfeng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
2016: Recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise.
2018: Designated as the Jiangxi Provincial Engineering Research Center for Chinese Patent Medicine Mixtures by the Jiangxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission.
2019: Ownership changed to Jiangxi Heming Group Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
2019: Recognized by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology as a Jiangxi Provincial Enterprise Technology Center.
2019: Recognized as a Specialized and New Enterprise by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
2020: Recognized as a Specialized and Small Giant Enterprise by Jiangxi Province.
2021: Recognized by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Commerce as an Old Brand Enterprise in Jiangxi Province.
2022: The Ludi Brand Huaji Oral Liquid was recognized as the second "Ganchu Jingpin" by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.
In February 1994, "Huaji Oral Liquid" was listed as one of the first batch of national protected Chinese medicine products.
In May 1992, Mr. Dong Hao, a famous host of children's programs on CCTV, was with the children of pharmaceutical factory workers while making a program for "Huaji Oral Liquid" at Pharmaceutical Factory No. 2.
On September 17, 1991, Lin Jiamei, vice president of the China Family Planning Association and consultant of the China Children's Development Center, inscribed the following words
